Alberto Cerqui:
"Taking the podium here in Imola is really exciting and rewards the hard work done. We thought we could be closer to the top, but in qualifying we struggled a bit to find the speed, perhaps because we lacked a little bit of traction out of slow corners. Getting back on the podium feels great, I have to thank all my fans that pushed me to run a good weekend. This is a really challenging championship, the level is very high and this result is what we needed to head to the final round of Mugello with the right optimism".
The Italian GT Championship will resume from Mugello next 14-16 October for the closing round of the season. |
