A DREAM COME TRUE IN SUZUKA |
|
17/10/2012 - FIA WTCC is heading to Japan for the third-last round of the season that traditionally takes teams and drivers to Asia for the final stages.
Alberto Cerqui and team ROAL Motorsport get to the country of Sun Rising well motivated to get back to an important result after the unlucky break of United States where an incident at the start of race one spoiled both races. The fight for the Yokohama Drivers' Trophy is still quite open, with the young Italian driver widely within the top ten, in seventh place with 51 points, just one short of the sixth.
Alberto Cerqui:
"I already had the chance to compete in Suzuka in karting: the karting track was close to the circuit and the dream was obviously to get back to race on the main circuit one day. This is why I will get to Japan with special enthusiasm even if the minimum weight of the BMWs will be increased by 20kgs as compared to the one we had in United States; last year though Coronel obtained a good win therefore we expect to do good things in this occasion too".
