ALBERTO CERQUI DELIGHTED BY COMING BACK ON THE TRACK IN BRAZIL |
|
19/07/2012 - After a six weeks break the FIA WTCC comes back on the track tomorrow in Brazil at Curitiba for the first round of the season outside the Europe. For Alberto Cerqui this will be the first race in the Americas, while in the past he raced in Japan, even if in the Karting World Championship.
Alberto Cerqui:
"I look forward to be back on the track. It's hard to wait one month and more between two races, but cars were on their way to Brazil and there were no chances to make testings. Curitiba will be completely new for me, as often happened this year; I'm now twelfth in the standings, sixth in the Yokohama Drivers' Trophy: my target is to close the season in the top-ten and third between the Independents. It will not be easy and we need to gain points in each round".
Weekend schedule follows (GMT-3):
Friday, 20 July
14.00 - 14.30: Testing
Saturday, 21 July
08.20 - 08.50: Free Practice 1
11.15 - 11.45: Free Practice 2
16.00 - 16.35: Qualifying
Sunday, 22 July
09.05 - 09.20: Warm-up
15.05: Race 1
16.20: Race 2
Qualifying and both races will be broadcasted live by Eurosport. |
